The new moon in Gemini occurs 3 days before the June solstice, a major transition point in the year.  Gemini is a sign of connection, communication, information gathering, sociability and exchange of ideas. As an air sign Gemini resonates with the mental realm of thoughts and beliefs.  Gemini flits from one thing to another with ease and lightness, a social butterfly or a buzzing bee germinating and pollinating ideas. It is active, light, and busy.

This new moon aligns with Juno, the long-suffering wife of Jupiter.  As the wife of the ruler, Juno, was the protector and counsellor of the state, who held watch over women. She is associated with commitment, marriage, betrayal, infidelity, the balance of power in partnerships, fairness, and compromise. Despite Jupiter’s constant infidelity, Juno was steadfast and loyal.  She is enraged by inequalities and seek to make things balanced, fair, and right. Although she is connected to marriage and union, she is a powerful and independent goddess in her own right and is not defined by her partnerships, even though she is skilled at balancing and moderating them.  This new moon reminds us to exert our own sovereignty in relationships.

Imaginative and dreamy Neptune squares the new moon stimulating the right brain, heightening intuition, creativity, spirituality, healing, and connection with the divine.  It also brings potential for overwhelm, confusion, deception, and illusion.  Draw on the energy of Ceres in earthy Virgo, also squaring the new moon for discernment and reality checks.  Be conscious of your dreams, set intentions around your dreams before you sleep and journal what you receive.

Saturn is stationing retrograde and squaring Mercury, the ruler of this new moon, inviting disciplined and focused thinking, creating the pathway for manifestation of these ideas and dreams.
